Boat Snack

 

Gather a paper plate, sliced apples, sliced cheese, and toothpicks.  


Tear the cheese into a small square and slide onto a toothpick for the sail.  


Stick the toothpick into the apple slice to create a boat!


Jesus and His friends were on a boat when it started to storm. Jesus told the storm to stop, and it did! Wow! Jesus is amazing!  

Number Matching Cups

 

Gather a piece of paper, ten 3oz. paper cups, and a marker.  


Draw ten circles onto the paper. 


Draw a different number of dots in each circle—from one dot to ten dots.


Number each cup, one to ten.


Have your child count the number of dots in each circle and find the matching cup to place on top. Review the numbers and be sure to focus on the number four. 


Four friends carried their friend who couldn’t walk to Jesus. Jesus healed him! Jesus is amazing! He can do things no one else can do!

Out of This World Breakfast

 

Gather a plate, waffle, cantaloupe, honeydew, blueberries, and a star cookie cutter.  


Cook the waffle and set it on the plate.  


Cut a ring for the waffle planet out of one of the melons. 


Cut out star shapes from the other melon and place them on the plate.


Finish your “Out of This World” scene by placing blueberries around the planet. 


This breakfast looks and tastes amazing. Do you know Who is even more amazing? Jesus! Jesus is amazing!

Glitter Star



Gather popsicle sticks, glue, glitter pens, and a piece of paper.


Glue the sticks together to create a star shape.



Decorate the star with the glitter pens!


The wise men followed a special star to find Jesus!

Sheep Snack

 


Gather a plate, graham crackers, white icing, black icing, edible eyes, and mini marshmallows.


Spread some white icing onto half of a Graham Cracker.


Using the black icing, create a face outline and then add two edible eyes. 

Place marshmallows on the icing to complete your sheep.


Angels told the shepherds that Jesus had been born, so they ran to see Him. They were so excited to see the baby, because they knew Jesus is God’s Son!

Finger Paint Nativity Scene

 

Gather a plate, washable paints, and a piece of paper. Put small amounts of paint on the paper plate.


Finger paint a stable on the paper.


Add a finger-painted manger.


Finger paint a star above the stable and hay on the ground/in the manger.


Add baby Jesus to the manger.


Jesus, God’s Son, was born in a stable in Bethlehem. He was wrapped up and laid in a manger!

Tinsel Halo

 

Gather gold tinsel, two pipe cleaners, scissors, and a child-sized headband.

Twist one pipe cleaner around the middle of the headband with the two ends pointing up.


Make a circle out of the other pipe cleaner.


Twist the two ends of the pipe cleaner around the circle, securing a halo.


Wrap gold tinsel around the halo and place it on your child’s head!


God sent an angel to tell Mary that she would have a baby—a very special baby! Mary was having Jesus, God’s Son!
