Gather supplies.
A box (or plastic tub), sand (you could use brown construction paper or
a brown towel instead), wood blocks (we used ones from a stacking game), rocks
(we used cotton balls and marbles), a boy and girl toy, scissors, pencil,
little rectangle pieces of paper for signs and tape.
Place sand (or paper) in bottom of box.
Place boy and girl characters in back of box. (we
added animals, too!)
Write the following names on the strips of
rectangle paper: Haran, Shecham, Egypt,
Bethel and Hebron. Attach the paper to
the wood blocks with tape, creating signs for where the people travel.

Place stacks of rocks by each sign.
