Gather sheets, blankets, pillows, sofa cushions, etc. in a
room with a couch, chairs, or a bed.
You can also use weights to help hold the blankets in place
and a flashlight to help you see while in the fort.
Make a fort using the items you’ve gathered.
This can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like it to be. Get creative!
Pretend it’s raining or snowing and climb in the fort to protect yourselves.
You can use the flashlight to help you see!
Talk about how the fort is protecting you from pretend rain or snow. Miriam protected her baby brother by placing him in a basket along the reeds. We can protect others too!
