Looking for the Lost Toy!

You will need to gather different cups and cans for this activity.

Find two toys to be the two spies in the story.

Hide the toys beneath the cups and have
your preschooler play a “ Hide and Seek”
type game while looking for them.

\
As you play, talk with your child about how Rahab hid
the spies!

Pet Rocks

Gather your supplies:  A rock, glue gun, wiggly eyes
and a pom pom.

Firstly, take your preschooler outside to find his or
her favorite rock to become their unique pet.
(You can also find rocks at your local craft store.)

For this project you need a hot glue gun, so be careful.

Ask your preschooler to point out where the eyes should.
Using this direction hot glue them down.

Do the same with the nose and you are done!
I hope you preschooler enjoys their new pet rock.

Talk to your child about how they can take care of
a pet.  Remind them that God will always
take care of us!

Dough for a Widow

Gather your supplies:  You'll need a measuring cup for boiling water, food coloring,
flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil.

Boil one cup of water and add whatever kind of food coloring you want.

In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of salt, 2 tbs of cream of tartar, 1 tbs of oil, and the water mixture. Stir well until you get a dough-like consistency. (You may have to use your hands.)

Know you and your preschooler can mold the dough to create any unique shapes you want!

While you are molding your dough, talk about the widow
who helped Elijah and how God took care of her!

A Crown for Esther

Gather your supplies:  You will need pipe cleaners,
wire cutters and a small beard.

Take your pipe cleaner, wrap it around your preschooler’s head, and tie it off.

You can even the two pipe cleaners together if needed.

Attach one large pipe cleaner triangle and two
smaller ones to the base of the crown piece.

Once all triangles are attached you can put on decoration, such as this purple pipe cleaner

Give your preschooler their crown and you’re done!

Wear your crown and talk about how God took care of

Hear With Your Ears

 Gather your supplies:
You will need metal bowls, a wooden spoon, a large tub with water and a sunny day!

Show your child how to hit the metal bowl with the wooden spoon and talk about the sounds that it makes. How do you hear the sounds? With your ears!!

You can flip the bowl over and see how the sound changes.

Float the bowl in a tub of water and listen for how the sound changes.
(Never leave a child unattended around water!)

Pour water in the bowl and see if the sound changes.

As your child enjoys making sounds with the bowls and spoon, talk to him about how we hear with our ears. And, remind him how Samuel heard that God had a plan for him.
