My Helping Hands

Gather your supplies.  You will need a piece of construction paper
(any color), ruler, marker, your child/children’s hand(s).

Draw a line close to the top then make 4 boxes at the bottom as shown.  Write “Helping Hands” on the top of the paper!

Trace your childs hand in each square.
You will need to have a separate sheet for each child so
each child should have their hand traced 4 times!

Write something different in the palm of each hand your child can do to be a “Happy Helper”.  As they things this week/month, color in a finger for each time they complete what is written in the palm of the hand.  Have a reward for when they fill up all 20 fingers!

You can see the whole page with an example for one hand.  We left three blank so you could talk with your child and come up with things he/she can do to be a happy helper this week!

Talk to them about all they learned this month and how Jesus wants us to help everyone around us and tell everyone about Him!

Moses' Staff

Gather your supplies.  You will need an empty wrapping paper tube and markers (and any other decorations you would want to use).

Decorate your “staff” and retell the story using it!

Your kids will have a lot of fun pretending to be Moses!

A Room for Elisha

Gather your supplies.  You will need popsicle sticks, glue,
a sheet of construction paper, a sheet of white paper,
markers and scissors.

Glue popsicle sticks to paper in the shape of a house

Draw a bed, a table, a lamp and a chair on the piece of white paper
with markers.  Cut them out.

Place the bed, table, lamp and chair in the house.
You can glue them or use them to read the story to your child.

We can all be happy helpers and allow God to use us to help others!

Building a Wall - of Pillows!

Gather your supplies.
You will need several pillows from around your house.

Have you kids stack the pillows to make a wall.

Talk to them about how Nehemiah helped rebuild the wall and
we can always help others by being a happy helper!

The Story of Ruth

Gather your supplies.  You will need glue, scissors, a pencil, brown construction paper (or a brown paper bag), pencil and magazine pages and tape (not pictured)

Draw a person and a tear drop shape on the brown construction paper/paper bag.  Cut out.

Trace 2 more people and 20 more tear drops onto the brown paper and cut out.

Using magazines, dress the people as Ruth, Naomi and Boaz.

Cover ½-2/3 of a pencil in a rolled up magazine page.  I used tape to put it on there.

Glue the tear drops (grain) onto the top of the pencil

Use the people and the stick of “grain” to talk about the story of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz!
